Justification for EICAT assessment


Hybridisation of the Snow Goose with both Greylag Geese (Anser anser) and Barnacle Geese (Branta leucopsis) has been recorded in the wild. There is no evidence that this has caused a decline of these species (Banks et al., 2008; Ottenburghs et al., 2016).
