Hybrids between the Wandering Whistling-duck and the Lesser Whistling-duck (Dendrocygna javanica) have been observed and documented in the wild in Singapore. There is no evidence that this has caused a decline of populations of Lesser Whistling-duck (singaporebirds 2012, Chong 2015).
