Justification for EICAT assessment

The Tropical Mockinbird occasionally attempts to kill small birds such as Yellow-bellied Seedeaters (Sporophila nigricollis) and feeds on lizards and a variety of insects such as spiders, grasshoppers and beetles. There is no evidence that this has caused a decline of population of these species (Morton et al. 2004, Danielle B. 2014).
