Justification for EICAT assessment


Farm-bred Grey Partridges have been observed to hybridize with the wild subspecies Perdix perdix perdix. This may complicate recovery of wild partridge populations, which have suffered serious declines in numbers in recent decades in Denmark. There is no evidence that hybridisation caused a decline of this species (Andersen and Kahlert 2012).
